Flickr is a brilliant website where anyone can upload their photos which can be viewed by anyone. Obviously there can be issues with copyright if you wish to use other people's photos for your website. Here is a way to make sure you stay safe in regards to copyright by attributing photos back to there original source:
Step 1 - Log on to 'Flickr' website.
Step 2 - Once you have chosen the image you want to use, scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see these options.
Please note: To narrow down your searches, there is a way to only search for images that you can reuse. First click on 'advanced search' option located next to the search bar. Scroll down the options and check the box that says 'only search within Creative Commons-licensed content'. More about Creative Commons.
Step 3 - You must first check that you are 'free to share, to copy, distribute and transmit' the work. If this is the case then under 'Attribution' you may be required to attribute it back to the persons flickr account. You can do this by inserting this code into your website. If you are not free to do this, then you must not use this image.
Step 4 - Save the image to your computer and insert it into your website/blog along with the attribution.
